How do I post a job of interest to NE members on the website?

NE JOB POSTINGS NEWS as of January 2007

ADA has had a contract with HealtheCareers for over six years in response to members wanting an online job site. The contract gives exclusive rights for job postings by electronic means to the vendor providing ADA’s CareerLink. Job postings by any of the DPGs on their own Listservs and Websites is considered a violation of that contract. At this time, ADA has asked all DPGs to remove job postings from their websites and listservs.

Career Link was developed as a place where ADA members, at no charge, can go to seek a job, build and post a resume, and now establish their own web page related to job searches. Employers can post jobs (for a fee), search resumes, and receive emails when resumes are posted that meet criteria for their open positions. HealtheCareers is ADA’s exclusive job bank. Many healthcare facilities may actually already be using HealtheCareers through their HR departments, since they are a major job site for physician, nursing and other allied health jobs. If this is the case, the potential cost to the food and nutrition department may be less than the usual cost for a single, one time listing. For more information on posting jobs, visit ADA’s web site and click on the ADACareerLink on the upper right or call 888-884-8242. Employer information is listed on the link http://www.healthecareers.com/site_templates/ADA/index.asp?aff=ADA&SPLD=ADA

Some of the things that DPGs can do as far as posting jobs are:

  1. Post jobs in printed newsletters.
  2. Provide a link to the ADA CareerLink site on the DPG website.
  3. Post on the DPG listserve that a job has been posted on CareerLInk, providing location and employer without the specifics of the job.

Could you share some resources or link me to a mentor because I want to start my own private practice? The best way to gain access to professional resources and fabulous mentors is by joining NE. Under the Members Only section of this website, you can easily access a list of resources that fellow NE members recommend. You can also join the private practice specialty group. An additional resource available to NE members is the mentor page with details of what types of mentors are available and how to get started. The Ventures newsletter also contains valuable information about business and keeps you informed about workshops and events that may interest you at FNCE.
